House-sitting in Melbourne

On 18th December we moved with all our goods and chattals to Mt W.

The owners have entrusted us to look after their special cat. She is a real character and "talks" to you. If you sit down she'll immediately sit on your lap. She's the boss, but she is lovable. We have also been looking after her "pet" stick insects ( spray cooling water, and change leaves) and his 50 cacti plants (water them).

Most days we have explored bike trails of Melbourne. There are so many of them! Mostly they are a mixture of asphalt, concrete and gravel, and along linear parks, particularly creek beds. We've constructed our own routes and most have been over 40kms length.

We have seen D and been down to I twice. The first day we forgot the garage key when we went to get stuff from the garage!

We have had extremes of weather - cold and torrential rain, when the skylight leaked badly, and also stinking hot. In fact I am suffering from sunburn from a 66km ride we did. We finish this house-sitting assignment on Dec 30th and move back to I where we have another house-sit for 2 weeks.
